This site is a tribute to Wendy of Milkwall who passed away at Gloucestershire Royal Hospital on 25th February aged 74 years. Beloved Wife of Dave, loving Mum to Louise, Stephen and Helen & Gina, Andrew and Dave, caring Nanny of Chloe and Will. Wendy will be sadly missed by all her family and friends.
Wendy's funeral service took place at the Forest of Dean Crematorium Chapel on Friday 22nd March with Mr David Wildin officiating. On entry to the crematorium chapel, a recording of ‘The sound of silence’ by Disturbed was played. The Poem ‘A Forester’s Prayer’ by Joyce Latham was read and the song ‘Who wants to live forever’ by Queen was played. The Eulogy was given and during the Visual Tribute and Time for Reflection the mourners listened to a recording of ‘World in Union’ (Ruby World Cup Anthem) by Hayley Westenra. The recessional music was ‘I love to boogie’ as recorded by T Rex.
The bearers were Stephen Ford, William Ford, Andrew Pick and David Marriott.
The funeral arrangements were carried out by Ernest Heal & Sons, 5 South Road, Broadwell, Gloucestershire, who are collecting donations for the Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal which would be sincerely appreciated.
